Jet Lag.

We survived (barely) our first night with a jet lagged baby. I wouldn't say it went smoothly, but it went. And now, the next morning, I think we are all feeling better. HD went to bed (after a late dinner) at 9, without a peep. I went down (without a peep) at about 9:45. HD finished her nap (since going bed to at 9 (1 pm her time) must have felt like just that...a nap) at 11 pm. She just didn't want to be in her crib and didn't want to be sleeping. Luckily she was in good spirits - until we tried to get her to go to sleep...she didn't appreciate that at all. So we played, struggled, cuddled, watched "Baby Einstein", cried (me - jet lag makes me emotional - and HD), etc. until at 1:30-ish we put her in the carseat next to our bed and she went to sleep...I think the carseat is magic. She then slept until 9 am, which made me and Matt very happy. So, we survived. And now we have our fingers crossed that HD is fully adjusted!

I guess my comment about jet lag should have been on this blog and the other blog should have talked about your cute HD and the tired, but good looking parents.
